After training in London, I began my teaching career in Hertfordshire. I later spent just over 20 years as Head of a primary school in Cambridgeshire, during which time I continued to write for a number of publications.
Having taken early retirement, intending to spend more time writing, my wife and I established our own pre-preparatory school near Cambridge. After 13 successful years the school was
I began writing stories when I was a child, established and edited a troop magazine while in the Scouts and earned my first money from writing while I was a young teacher.
Early years
purchased by a prominent educational foundation. We then both retired from education for a second time.
To Date
Education topics tend to dominate my writing output, but my research skills are good and I am usually able to write authoritatively on most topics.
